Amanda Labatt (She/her)

Amanda is a Registered Psychologist in Saskatchewan with an Authorized Practice Endorsement (APE), permitting the communication of psychological diagnoses.

She brings over 12 years of experience in Inclusive Education, working with neurodivergent children, adolescents, and young adults aged 5 to 22. At this time, she is accepting clients for counselling services only.

She provides counselling services to children, adolescents, and young adults, with experience supporting neurodivergent individuals, including those with ADHD and autism. Areas of focus include anxiety, depressive symptoms, school-related stress, and executive functioning challenges. Her practice is grounded in a neurodiversity-affirming, strength-based framework and emphasizes collaborative goal-setting and individualized support.

Her counselling work is informed by ongoing training in evidence-based approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and executive functioning interventions. She is currently working toward expanded counselling competency with children and adolescents under the supervision of Chelsea Chomos, M.Ed., R. Psych., in accordance with professional standards.

In addition to counselling, Amanda has experience in psychoeducational assessment and have self-declared competency in the assessment of ADHD, Specific Learning Disorders, and Intellectual Developmental Disorders. Although she is not currently completing assessments, this experience informs her counselling practice and supports a comprehensive understanding of learning, behaviour, and emotional functioning.

Amanda is a member in good standing with the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists and hold memberships with the Saskatchewan Teachers’ Federation and the Psychological Association of Saskatchewan (PAS). She maintains an interest in the ethical considerations and clinical applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in psychological practice.

Amanda approaches her work with professionalism, empathy, and respect, valuing each client’s strengths while supporting areas of growth within a safe and collaborative therapeutic environment.
